FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Thyssenkrupp is in discussions with the German government over which conditions have to be met for a standalone solution of its defence division, which could include anything from joint ventures to a sale, its chief executive said.
Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, which builds warships and submarines, is one of the company’s businesses that parent Thyssenkrupp does not necessarily want to fully own.
CEO Martina Merz told shareholders at the group’s virtual annual general meeting that talks on the matter with the government were ongoing.
