(Reuters) -Indian carmaker Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles posted a quarterly profit surge on Friday, as the carmaker had a one-time gain tied to the demerger of its commercial vehicles unit.
The company’s profit jumped to 761.70 billion rupees ($8.67 billion) in the second quarter from 34.46 billion rupees a year ago.
