JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) -South African lender Capitec Bank reported on Wednesday a 26% rise in half-year profit.
It said its headline earnings per share, a key profit measure in South Africa, rose to 8 billion rand ($463.94 million) for the six months ended on August 31, from 6.4 billion rand in the same period last year.
Capitec declared an interim dividend of 26.20 rand per share, up 26% from 20.85 rand per share in the previous year.
