-Franco-Italian carmaker Stellantis has appointed Joao Laranjo as its chief financial officer, effective immediately, the company said on Monday.
Brazilian national Laranjo succeeds Doug Ostermann, who resigned for personal reasons, it said.
“Having worked closely with Joao for 15 years and witnessed his rise through the ranks, I have consistently been impressed by his excellent financial acumen, results-driven mindset, and deep understanding of our industry’s complexities,” said Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa.
In 2009, Laranjo joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which later became part of Stellantis, as Chief Accounting Officer for Latin America.
He worked with Filosa in North and South America between 2009 and 2023, and in 2017 was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Stellantis North America.
In 2024 Laranjo left the carmaker and joined tyremaker Goodyear as vice president of finance in the Americas.
He rejoined Stellantis in February as Chief Financial Officer in its key North America market.
Stellantis also confirmed its 2025 financial guidance, as communicated in July.
Shares in Stellantis were up 0.2%, paring gains after falling as much as 2% in early trading in Milan. Its Paris-listed shares were up 0.4%.
