(Reuters) -UK’s Compass Group forecast about 10% profit growth for fiscal 2026 on Tuesday after beating annual earnings estimates, as the world’s largest catering firm benefits from new business growth in the United States, its biggest market.
The company, which serves offices, hospitals, universities and sports and leisure events in about 30 countries globally, reported an underlying operating profit of $3.34 billion on revenue of $46.1 billion for the year ended September 30.
Analysts expected the underlying operating profit of about $3.31 billion on revenue of $45.4 billion for fiscal 2025, according to a company-compiled poll.
Compass in recent years has grown significantly in its key markets of the U.S., Europe and the UK through acquisitions, and as more businesses outsource their canteen operations to cut costs.
Organic revenue from North America, the group’s largest market, increased 9.1% in the year, driven by new business wins, it said.
Compass expects organic revenue growth of about 7% for 2026, compared with 7.1% expected by analysts in a company-compiled poll.
