Siemens Energy unveils $6.9 billion buyback programme, shares hit record high

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Siemens Energy on Thursday said it planned to buy back up to 6 billion euros ($6.9 billion) worth of shares by the end of its fiscal year 2028.

Shares in the maker of equipment for the power sector, which last week raised its mid-term targets on strong global demand for gas turbines and energy grids, climbed 7% to a record high.
