DUBLIN (Reuters) -The head of the world’s largest aircraft leasing company, AerCap, said the supply of widebody jets is “extraordinarily acute” with Boeing and Airbus unlikely to surpass their previous production peak this decade.
“Both OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) produced more widebody aircraft in 2008 than they did last year and I do not expect them to surpass the peak of 2016 this decade… The widebody market is extraordinarily acute,” AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly told an analyst call on Wednesday.
