Kremlin, asked about French investigation into oil tanker, talks of ‘provocative actions’ by some states

MOSCOW (Reuters) -The Kremlin said on Wednesday it had no information about a ship France suspected of belonging to the so-called “shadow fleet” involved in the Russian oil trade, but said that many countries were taking what it called “provocative actions”.

The French Navy said on Tuesday that authorities were investigating a possible infraction by the oil tanker Boracay.

Asked about the matter, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian military had sometimes had to act to restore order when foreign countries had taken what he described as provocative actions.
