Japan Q2 output gap biggest since 2019 after GDP revision, Cabinet Office says

TOKYO (Reuters) -Japan’s output gap in the April-June quarter was upgraded to 0.3%, its largest since July-September 2019, after reflecting a revised gross domestic product (GDP) data, the Cabinet Office said on Tuesday.

The gap was previously estimated at 0.1% as of last month, based on the preliminary second-quarter GDP data, marking the first positive reading since April-June 2023.
